About YAC

Yoruba Action Council was officially incorporated in New Jersey, USA on the 29th of May 2018.

YAC New Jersey was incorporated to care for the welfare and affairs of the Yoruba people worldwide. This enormous task was put together by like-minded Yoruba professionals living in New Jersey, United States of America in 2018 to promote Yoruba interest, uphold and enhance her heritage.

YAC is a Non-Governmental Organization with a 501 Certificate for the projection of human and community development centered among the Yoruba people in the diaspora and at home in Nigeria.

YAC Mission and Objectives

A clear-cut vision of YAC envisaged an enhanced and aloft placement of the Yoruba race among the Committee of Nations within the existing provision of human and natural resources in the cliché of Nigeria contraption.

This includes brainstorming of like-minded Yoruba professionals in various fields of human development, and in creating a purposive environment that will lead to the growth and development of human capital within Nigeria and the diaspora through micro and macroeconomic indices.

To make YAC the epitome of services for the advancement of the Yoruba Race globally, the objectives of YAC includes:

• To advance and enhance the progress of the Yoruba nation
• Employ and deploy the professionalism of members for the Yoruba global development
• Cooperation with the other Pan Yoruba groups in coordinating pro Yoruba events
• Operate as a link between the Yoruba Nation, the diaspora, and global interaction
• Promote and support Yoruba cultural tradition, and thus, preventing the culture from extinction through research and development
